Unity and Fellowship Committee
Minutes
Present were: Wanda Flusche, Betty Rose Walterscheid, Juanita Bright, Betty Flusche, and one new member, Sug Bindel. Welcome Sug… and we are delighted to have you on board!
The meeting began with the “Our Father” prayer.
Betty thanked all who helped with the “Festival of Ministries” on February 24th and 25th and reported 16 new members signed up to be a part of our Unity and Fellowship committee. All new members were asked to attend this meeting. Those new members are: Ethel Hesse, Tudor Klement, Deb Klement, Christel Vogel, Rosemary Dankesreiter, Willie Fisher, Rhonda Walterscheid, Wade Walterscheid, Dana Walterscheid, Tim Schneider, Sug Bindel, Harold Bindel, Marcy Wilde, Marcia Scarbrough, Brad Scarbrough, and Kathy Hess.
Discussion was on whether to change the time and date of our monthly meeting and it was decided to leave as is. Our meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30pm in the Community Center meeting room, unless notified of a different location.
Juanita invited our members to a luncheon program for Church Women United being held on Friday, May 4th in Gainesville. She will give us details at a later date.
Under long range planning of events, we discussed having a soup, chili and cornbread and dessert covered dish supper for the community with games for all to follow. The date has temporarily been set for Saturday, January 5, 2008 after the 5 PM mass.
In order to get more members to attend our meetings in the future, it was decided to make a phone call to each member and personally invite them to attend.
Juanita led us in the closing prayer.
