Youth Council Minutes

Present for the meeting were:  Monica LeBrasseur, Laurie Valliere, Nicole Bayer, Debbie Endres, John Walterscheid, DeAnna Hellman, Valerie Henscheid, and Dana Dittlinger.

 

An informal meeting was held due to Ashley having to unexpectedly go out of town.  Dana went over some of the activities that are planned for the future.

 

New Shirts have been ordered

• Confirmation will be February 3^rd-One Voice will be providing the music and the Youth will participate as Eucharistic ministers.  Dana is having a confirmation class with the candidates and their sponsors today Jan 7^th and the one day retreat will be held at Turtle Hill Saturday, January 13^th. 
• A superbowl party will be held on February 4^th at the KC Hall for the high school kids.
• The SHY Jr. group will participate in Souper Bowl of Caring during the day of February 4^th.
• John Walterscheid asked Father Kyle to speak to SHY on February 7^th.  He will discuss vocations with them.
• The bonfire has been rescheduled for February 10^th.   It was suggested that the kids be encouraged to attend the 5:00 Mass and sit together.   We will talk with Craig Bayer about transportation, but will probably meet at CC and load kids up.  Hamburgers will be served and the high school leaders have some skits prepared. 
• Dana is trying to book a date for the Pines camp.  She has April13, 14, 15 and May 4, 5, 6 available.  It was decided that we would book the May dates.  The cost is $149 a kid.  Fundraisers were discussed.
• Our new Pastor Father Ken Robinson is here.  After he has settled in we would like to invite him to come to our meetings, even if it is just for a short period since it is between the masses.
