Universalis: The Liturgy of the Hours
The Liturgy of the Hours (also known as the Divine Office) is the richest single prayer resource of the Christian Church. It provides prayers, psalms and meditation for every hour of every day. It has existed from the earliest times, to fulfil the Lord's command to pray without ceasing. This site does all the calendar calculations for you, and presents you with the psalms and readings for each hour of today, every day. This site uses the version of the Liturgy of the Hours given in the Roman Breviary - but the Divine Office is for all Christians and not just Catholics.
Southwest Liturgical Conference
Our primary mission is directed toward the local Church at the parish and diocesan level. We are committed to educational programs and regional workshops which will stimulate the people of God to that "full, conscious, and active participation in liturgical celebrations called for by the very nature of the liturgy." (CSL, 14) One of the principal ways in which we have achieved this end is through the sponsorship of an Annual Study Week. This four-day study week is held in January each year; dioceses of the region take their turn in hosting the study week. In its thirty-two year history, the study week has been hosted in almost every diocese of the region and has addressed a wide range of topics.
Bishops' Committee on the Liturgy Homepage
The Bishops' Committee on the Liturgy is a standing committee of the National Conference of Catholic Bishops. It oversees the preparation and approval of liturgical books and texts and grants the concordat cum originali for publications of liturgical texts in the U.S.A.; it reviews all publications in the U.S. which contain excerpts from approved liturgical books. It also provides leadership in liturgical formation and sacramental catechesis. Finally it serves as a resource for bishops and diocesan liturgical commissions and offices of worship.

The following March, 1244, the hermits held a founding chapter in Rome under the guidance of Cardinal Richard Annibald and put the union effect. Thus began the history of the Order of St. Augustine.
