(-scene 1-) Safiya is on a wooden birthing table. The room is dark and damp. Other castle servants are gathered around helping with the birth. The King is standing over her with one hand on her shoulder. A nobel looking knight is standing behind the King. Safiya is looking up to the King with desperation on her face. *********************************** *A chamber maid for the king, Safiya can not care for the child she *is about to bring into this world. She pleads with the King to help *her. King Ormad comforts her and vows that her child will be well *taken care of. * *That night, in the pains of childbirth, Safiya dies. *********************************** The noble knight and the King stand together. The King is talking to the knight while the knight is looking down at the baby in his arms. *********************************** *King Ormad asks his most trusted and faithful knight, Drudwyn, to *take the child to a good family to raise him. Drudwyn promises his *King that the child will have a good home. *********************************** (-end of scene 1-) The player takes over as Drudwyn. You are at a fairly high level and all battles are pretty easy. The player now gets to choose which parents will raise the child. Depending on the parents, the child will have different base characteristics. -=Farmer=- -=Monistary=- -=Aristrocat Family= -=Knight=- When the new parents look at the child for the first time, they give him a name, the player may now choose a name for him. His name will default to "Seth". (-scene 2-) The screen is divided into four parts, each showing a different step in Seth's growing up. *********************************** *And so Seth grew up as a . *********************************** Seth, now a young man, wakes up from a nightmare soaking wet with sweat. There is panic in his eyes. *********************************** *Seth has the same dreams every night. He dreams monsters and *deamons. He dreams about a rod and an old man. As time passes, these *dreams have gotten more vivid as well as more common. *********************************** Seth is with his family. He is talking to them. Depending on who he was raised by, his family setting will differ. *********************************** *Seth decides that he must go to Talibah. He is not sure why *he must go or what he must do, but he knows that it is time *to leave. Some force inside of him is pushing him onward. *********************************** (-end of scene 2-) The player takes control once again, this time of Seth. Seth will be the controlled character for the remainder of the game. There is a bit to explore and monsters to kill as Seth makes his way to Talibah. All of the previous possibilities for parents can be visited. Once Seth has entered the town of Talibah, the third scene begins. (-scene 3) There is a crowd of people gathered around an elevated platform. On the platform, a well dressed man (royalty) is talking. Seth is behind most of the crowd under a shade tree. There is an old man with a cane standing next to him. *********************************** *There is a lot of activity in Talibah. People are gathering to listen *to a man speak. *********************************** A closer picture of you and the old man. You are looking at the speaker, and the old man is looking at you, pointing his cane at the speaker. *********************************** *The man beside you can tell that you do not really know whats going *on. Feeling the need to inform you, he begins to ramble on to you. *"That is the son of the Queen, Eznik. According to some, he is *not the son of the King. He is proclaiming his rightful place as *heir to the throne. He plans to hold the sacred rod!" *********************************** The old man and Seth are still together. The people are now gathered outside of town around a stone wall in the woods. (lightly wooded, big trees though) Eznik has his arms open like he is ranting and raving on to the people. The old man is now talking and looking at Eznik, Seth is looking at the old man. *********************************** *You speak for the first time to the old man. "That is the Rod of Phonovan" *The old man is shocked. He asks you how you knew that. "I am the only *person in this town who knows the name of that rod. You ignore his question *because you have many of your own. "What is he doing? What is he trying *to prove?" The old man speaks, "The legend says that only royalty can hold *that rod. The King is of royal blood, though the Queen is not. If Eznik *can hold that rod, then his is the true heir to the throne. If not, he will *be killed... At least that is how the legend goes. Most of the legend is lost *and obscure now." Seth sadly tells the old man, "Eznick is going to die." *********************************** Eznik has a grasp on the rod and it is almost out of the stone. He has ahold of it with both hands. *********************************** *Eznik quickly pulls the rod from the stone. *********************************** A ball of white light and flames. You can still make out Eznik's hand on the rod. Eznik's body is bursting. People are cowering down. Seth and the old man are looking on intently. *********************************** *Eznik pulls the rod. In a blinding flash of white light, Eznik *bursts into flames and is completely destroyed. The old man speaks *to you "Did I mention that my name is Drew?" Seth is puzzled *by the old mans responce to such an overwhelming event. Drew *continues, "Do not wory, I have seen this all before." Seth answers, *"so have I.... in my dreams... atleast some of it..." *********************************** The rod lays on the ground where Eznik was before. The three stones that where in the rod now lay spread around the rod on the ground. Lots of the people have run away. Knights have moved in closer. The rock face where the rod was looks like liquid. It is twisting and darkening. A portal is opening. *********************************** *Eznik has broken the seal on some kind of portal. Some people run *scared, others are so shocked and can not move. Drew somehow seems *slightly unmoved. *********************************** Seth and Drew have turned and are walking away. Drew is paying no attention to the portal behind him. Seth is looking behind him, almost walking backwards. Small monsters are around the portal (which is getting bigger 10-12 foot across now). The knights are killing the monsters pretty quickly, but they just keep coming out. *********************************** *Drew insists that you leave with him and return to his house. Hoping *to learn more about what is going on, you are eager to follow him, yet *you do not want to leave and miss anything. *********************************** Seth is turned completely toward the portal. Drew is not. A large dragon is flying away with the rod in his hand. The Knights lay dead on the ground, ripped apart with small monsters eating them. A second dragon has a stone in his hand and is preparing to take flight. A third is about to pick up the second stone. Another dragon is coming through the portal. *********************************** *Four deamons come through the portal and take the Rod of Phonovan and *the three stones. Each deamon flies in a different direction. Drew speaks, *"it has begun." *********************************** You are in a small dusty house. Drew has manuscripts open and spread out on the table. He is bustling around. Strange things are all around his home. *********************************** *Drew begins to speak. "So... You know about the Rod of Phonovan. You *must be... Yes.. You say you had the dreams?" You nod yes. "Ah.. you must *be the one.... yes yes... you are indeed. What you say? Oh you have much *to learn. Yes, you have much to understand. We must hurry, we do not have *much time. *********************************** He is facing you with his hands opened in front of you. In his hands he has a cloth spread out, ragged on the edges and crumpled. In the cloth is a stone, like the one of the crystals that fell out of the Rod of Phonovan. *********************************** *"Rods such as the one in the stone were commonly used long ago, but *only the one remains now. However, there are still many crystals to be *found. These crystals can be very helpful on your journey, however they *are useless unless placed in the rod. There are Ruby, Emerald and Saphire *crystals to be found, and they will only fit into the appropriate place *on the rod. I have one of these crystals, and now it is yours." *You finally interupt him, "I do not understand, why me? What journey? *why are you giving me this Crystal?" Drew lowers his head *and confesses, "I can tell you no more.. *I have told you everything I know. You must take the Crystal and go now. *You must find the rod, the 3 crystals, and seal the portal". *Seth interjects, "but I can not even touch the rod!"... Drew *smiles and says, "oh yes you can....." *********************************** Same scene, but you are now alone with the crystals in your hand. *********************************** *Seth looks down at the crystal, and when you look back up, you find yourself *alone. Perhaps you should return home before beginning your quest. *Regardless, you should most likely leave Talibah like everyone else. *********************************** (-end of scene 3-) You now have the entire continent to explore. The monsters are somewhat stronger now that the portal is open. The town of Talibah is almost empty, though the Talibah Keep (the castle) is still pretty active as the knights and warriors defend the kingdom and protect the king. Surrounding towns have bits of historical knowledge to offer along with item shops and some decent weapons. If you return home, your family greets you as such. Remember that home could be a number of places. There is a treasure chest in your room, wherever that may be, that will have a bunch of gold in it, a necklace and a crystal. One parent will tell you "I remember the day when that knight brought you here.. You were just a baby. That man had a kings seal on his sheild. He left you some things, but we have never looked to see what they are. They were meant for you, not us." There is a town with a boat. The boat ride costs a lot, its difficult, although possible to build up enough cash to get on board. Toss in a sprinkling of little interesting tidbits around and about. For example, towns people who tell what they know about the Rod of Phonovan (not much) and people who tell you to get off the continent. (Scene 4) The scene is inside a cabin of a boat. You are bent over opening a cabinet and inside the cabnet is a small fellow crunched up. He looks like a little warrior with daggers. He would probably stand about 4 feet tall. You are in a somewhat defensive stance, yet slightly threatening to the small fellow. He has an innocent grin on his face. (aka the sh_t eating grin) *********************************** *While traversing the sea, Seth finds a stowaway on board the boat. The *dwarf pleads with Seth not to turn him over to that captain. "You must not *say a word. They will kill me I tell you." You finally tell him not to *worry, you will not turn him in. *********************************** The Dwarf is standing next to you with his hands open. He is looking up to you with a bright look of gratitude on his face. You now have the grin on your face as you are amused with the little guy. *********************************** *"Ah you have made a good choice you have! I must now repay your kindness. *I will aid you on your quest.." Seth responds "who says I am on a quest?" *The Dwarf smiles and asks, "You are, are you not?" Seth confesses, *"Perhaps... ok.. you may join me, but do not be a pest." His *tone changes to sincere and serious. "My name is Gerwin." Seth introduces *himself and shakes his hand. *********************************** (-end of scene 4-) You reach Karough safely. You are free to roam around. As you talk to the people of Karough, you'll find out that they are gearing up for a war... but no one knows what the war is over.. Everyone knows that Tholous (southern town) is planning to invade and they want to be ready. You also notice that the weapons made here are of fairly low grade with many flaws and a very high price. You can freely leave the town. The overworld monsters are now typical. Animals such as wolves and panthers attack as well as intelligent creatures such as thieves and rogues. Hard battles and quick exp gain in this area. The are only two other places to go in this area. You can go to the southern town of Tholous or to a cave in the mountains. There are Karough Knights at the cave blocking your entrance. They say they will not let anyone through while there is a threat from Tholous. They are stopping all shipments of goods in the area. If you explore Tholous, you find that they too are gearing up for war. They are saying the same things. They do not know why they are going to war, but they fear that Karough is going to invade soon. When you visit the weapons shop, you find the same flaws in the same weapons. Now both flaws have been found. When you return to Tholous, there is a man behind the weapons shop who runs away when you arrive. He was blocking a door to a room behind the weapons shop. When you enter the room, you find lots of boxes. On a counter, there is a note. *********************************** *The note reads- *"Tholous and Karough are almost at war. Sales are high. Our goal still *can not be met unless a war begins. Now is the time to convince the *governing bodies of each town to meet on the warfield." * *Perhaps you should inform these governing bodies of the problem at hand. * *********************************** When you leave, the blacksmith meets you at the door and a battle engages. He is not a difficult kill, but he can do a lot of damage. If you try to go to the town hall of Tholous, you can not get in. You must go to Karough. Once in Karough, you can see the town Elder and present him with the note. He tells you that he must arrange a meeting with the Elder of Tholous. He gives you a sealed letter. You must then return to Tholous. They will let you in. When you speak to the Elder, he says he will meet with Karough. You are given yet another letter and you must bring it to Karough. Once you deliver this message to the Elder of Karough, you begin the next scene. (Scene 5) The scene is at a large table. There are a lot of knights standing around ready to do battle. There are two particularly important men seated across from each other. There are feather pens and scrolls on the table. You are standing in the background. The letters are on the table. Gerwin will be standing beside you. *********************************** *The Elders of the two towns meet under immense pressure. They discuss *the events of the past few years. The more they converse, the more the *tension is relieved. *********************************** Almost the same scene, but there are empty mugs around (beer). Soldiers and Knights are conversing. The two Elders are laughing. You are now seated at the table. Gerwin is passed out in the corner with a mug in his hand. *********************************** *Once it was discussed, the actions of the local weapon smiths were *obvious. The two towns discovered how much they had in common and *that all of their war propaganda had been created by the weapon *smiths.. *********************************** The scene is of a public hanging. There are four men (the weapon smiths) on the gallows. People are all around. There is a pile of weapons in the background with a man dumping out a wheelbarrow load of swords onto the pile. *********************************** *The local weapon makers were dealt with. *********************************** There is a scene of you standing before both Elders. It looks like a ceremony of some kind. There aren't any on lookers, it is somewhat in private. *********************************** *Karough once again allows passage through the cave to the north. In *reward for your great service to the kingdom, you are allowed to take *all you can carry from the vault.. *********************************** There is a scene with you and Gerwin face to face. *********************************** *Gerwin tells Seth that he is interested in starting a life here *in this area. "After all, they need a Weapons Smith now! *Its just something I feel I should do." Seth understands, "thank *you for your services and good luck to you." *********************************** (-end of scene 5-) Gerwin will be the new Weapons Smith in Karough. There is some money, armor, and one crystal in the vault in Karough. When you enter the cave, there are many many levels and areas. This is a long and difficult level. The monsters will progressively get harder and harder. There are many treasures to find in the cave. Several new forms of armor and weapons. In one area of the cave, you will find an elf in battle with a monster. The monsters in the cave are becoming more obscure, such as those that came through the portal at Talibah. If you enter the battle, and win, the elf will join your party. His name is Staulker. He carries an unusual weapon. Two blades connected together in the shape of a "U" Each blade splits into two more blades, one large straight and the other short. In the depths of this cave you will find (blocking you way out) the first of the four dragons, Daemonix. He will have the Rod of Phonovan. In the cave, you will find a third crystal (if you can find it). Once you have the rod, you are able to use it. There is a difficult to find exit leading to part of the surface where you can regain your full strength for free. When you emerge from the cave, you have a vast new world presented to you to explore. The land is now heavily forested. -*-*-=under construction start=-*-*- List of towns and qualities of those town. Logos > Staulkers home town in the forest. Pathos > A town in the desert that has recently lost its oldest town elder. Ethos > Town surounding of Uther's castle. Shadrock > Hard to reach town.. founded by Shadonians -*-*-=under construction stops=-*-*- In one of the castles lives a man of incredible power. King Uther. He has taken over most of the realm by force and rules with a significant amount of wisdom and a great amount of fury. To earn his respect, if you want to talk to him, you must join him on the battle field. Once in to talk to him, he tells you that you may buy weapons and armor and lodge in his town. In this town the weapons are really great. Once you spend the night in one of the towns, when you decide to go to bed, a young girl comes in to take care of you. Staulker goes to a differnt room. (-scene 6-) You are starting to lay down on your bed, you aren't looking at the girl or your pack. Your pack is on the floor not too far from the bed. The young attractive girl has lineins in her hands and a large bowl. She is looking at your stuff while she is setting the things down on the trunk by the bed. The rod is barely showing out of the flap of your pack. She has on a work dress. *********************************** *"I am Venetia. If you need anything, let me know..." the young lady *is very lovely, but Seth is too tired to worry about it. As he relaxes *on the soft bed, Venetia notices the Rod of Phonovan starting to fall *out of his pack on the floor. *********************************** A look of total fear on your face as you are jumping for the pack. Ventetia has her hands almost on the rod. She is kneeling down on the floor next to the pack. *********************************** * Seth screams. "NO! leave it alone!" He is in a panic. If she touches *the rod, she will surely not survive... Seth desperately jumps up *and tries to stop her, but its too late, she takes the rod from his *pack. *********************************** You are on all fours, she is still on her knees. You are looking slighty up at her... on all fours is where you landed as you jumped for her. She has the rod in her hands and is looking it over. You have a shocked look on your face and she has a look of deep interest. *********************************** *Seth mumbles, "The rod... you can hold it...." .... She answers, *"I have seen this rod in my dreams many times. Its the Rod of *Phonovan." * *Seth removes the rod from her hands and puts it away. He explains, *"You do not need to have anything to do with this. You do not need *to get hurt." He mumbles on, "How did you know that? You must *have overheard me talking about it or something.." * *She asks Seth what he is doing, where he are going, and many *other questions. Seth gives half answers and can not keep up with *all that she is asking. *********************************** You and the girl are standing very close and she has her arms crossed and is pushing her chest out. You both are looking very defiant. *********************************** *Seth stands up and tells her that she knows enough. She raises up and *looks Seth in the eyes. "I want to go with you" she demands. Seth *laughs... "You? On a quest like this? You would lose your *life the first night!" *********************************** You are laying on the bed and she is looking at you from the door. She looks pretty mad and you are just plain tired. *********************************** *Anger grows inside of the young woman, "what *makes you so sure that I can not take care of myself?" Seth laughs *again and lays down on the bed... "are not you supposed to be my *chamber maid anyway?" She gets very upset and blurts out "your *mother was a chamber maid!".... Seth is stunned. "Where did that come *from?" She looks at Seth with a bit of fear in her eyes, "I do not *know.... I really do not." She rushes out, Seth lifts his head and *consider following her, but he is too tired to get up anymore. *********************************** You are packing your things up. Its sunny outside the window. You have your pack open and you are looking down inside of it. You look angry and confused. *********************************** *That night while Seth slept, Venetia swiped the Rod. Seth seaches *through his pack, but no matter how many times he looks, it still *is not there. He gathers his things and gets up to leave. *********************************** You are standing in the hall outside of your room. Staulker is up and ready to go, standing kinda in the background. Venetia has her pack and now has on traveling clothes, leather pants and sword on her back. *********************************** *Seth screams his inquiry at her "Where is the Rod!?" She looks at *him and responds "oh, that silly thing, well, I hid it until you *decide to let me go." Staulker interrupts "would you two please *make haste... I do not wish to stand here all day." Staulker then *looks at Seth, "why not let her go?" Seth looks away from the both of *them... and begins to talk, "Well.. I just.. um.. err.. uh.. ok, ok.. *Venetia, I guess I should not refuse you like that. If you are willing *to help, then you may come with us." Seth looks at her, "but do not *get in my way!" With his last words, Seth smiles at her. *********************************** (-end of scene 6-) Your party is now three members strong for the first time. You can explore various towns such as Logos and Pathos, both of which are part of Uther's realm. Once you make your way to a town called Shadrock, things pick up again. The town is full of a lot of older people... When you enter the town a woman greets you, she says she can feel the rod... she then says, "you are the one young Seth, aren't you" Then you go into another scene. (-scene 7-) An older woman is sitting in her home talking to the three warriors. *********************************** *The old woman looks at you, "ah, you do not know who I am do you. I *am Devona, Drew is my brother." Seth suddenly remembers the old man from *Talibah. Devona begins to speak again, "I guess I should clear a few *things up. Sit with me, let me tell you a story of a past forgotten... *********************************** Brown Flashback- A scene of Alchemests studying. Tables with flames and tubes. Bags of herbs, vials and bottles of potions and colored fluids. *********************************** *"Many generations ago, there was a race of people with unusual abilities. *They learned to control the forces of nature through a talent now called *magic." *********************************** Brown Flashback- Split screen. Left side has Phonovan. Old man in his home. Humble, dusty. Wrapped in white robes. Right side Aphillia. Young, attractive. Long hair. A lot of blackness and evil in background. Long thin eyebrows that taper up at the ends. *********************************** *"The race had two great individuals, Phonovan and Aphilia. Phonovan was *the greatest and most experienced magic user of the Shadonians. Aphillia *was almost as talented. She became overwhelmed with power and greed, not *to mention vanity." *********************************** Brown Flashback- Aphillia stands in front of the portal in the stone. She has her hands raised as she is casting a spell. She is opening the portal. *********************************** *"In her vanity, Aphillia opened a gateway to a demonic world full *of evil, anger, and hatred. Some say she opened a gateway to her *own soul. She entered this world through her portal and there she *ruled. She sent menions back to reality through the portal to perform *her deeds." *********************************** Brown Flashback- Wizard stand around the portal casting spells. Fallen demons lie around the portal. Spells are flying and creatures are dying. *********************************** *"The creatures that emerged from the portal were easily killed by the *Shads, but they could not close the gateway, and the creatures kept *coming." *********************************** Brown Flashback- Phonovan is sitting elevated above the ground. Three stone lie on the ground in front of him. The other Shads are in a cirle around him casting spells. *********************************** *"In a final act of desperation, Phonovan had his heart, mind, and soul cast *into three crystals to be placed into a rod and used to seal the gate. He *dedicated eternity to fighting Aphillia and her evil." *********************************** Brown Flashback- Show the sealed gate with a rod forced into the stone. It looks simply like a solid rock face with a rod embedded into it. *********************************** *"They used this rod to seal the portal. As time passed, the Shads seemed *to disperse around the world. Some remained here and started a great *kingdom called Talibah. Most of the legends are lost. Everyone knows *that only royalty can touch the rod, but no one knows why the rod was *there and what it was for. Its not that only true royalty can touch *the rod, only a true Shadonian can touch the rod and live. Only a *shadonian such as King Ormad, myself, and you." *********************************** Back to the same scene of the old woman talking to the three warriors. *********************************** *You are both Shadonian. Up until this point, neither of you have been *totally in touch with the power that was born in you. That is especially *true for you Seth, you need to find yourself." Devona clears her thought, *repsositions herself, and begins once again, "Why are you a Shad? How *did the two of you get to be this way? Thats what you want to know, is *it not?" As for you Venetia, your mother and father were of this town. *When they had you, your future was foretold and they knew that you *should be raised in ignorance of your past. Thus, they took you to be *raised by King Uther. Uther put you in the care of his maids and *servants. You were given more freedom than any of the other servants, *yet you grew up being taught their ways." Seth asks, "What about me? If *I am a Shad, how did I get this way?" The old woman speaks again, "Seth, *it is not for me to tell you. You will learn." * *Venetia asks, "Now what?" * *"Aphillia has been waiting for just the right time to extend her powers *again. She thought that most of the Shads were gone. *Little did she know, with her limited scope *of the world, that most of the Shads had moved here, into the Realm of *Uther. Only those few that remained behind formed the government of *Talibah. Now you must close that portal at all costs.. * *Enough of this, we are running out of time *and I have spoken too long. I must gather the elders and begin the *ceremony." Seth speaks up, "ceremony for what?" "A ceremony for you *Seth, and for you as well Venetia.. although Seth is in more need for *release." Puzzled, you do just as you are told... *********************************** The scene is of Seth and Venetia in a circle of older Shads. Staulker is standing off in the background looking at his blade. Light beams are dancing around, magic is all over the place. Seth and Venetia are suspended in the air. *********************************** *The two young Shads are self realized. Their powers are brought forth. *Seth, the pivotal point of the struggle to stop Aphillia, is endowed *a large quanity of power and knowledge. He will forever be changed into *a true Shadonian Mage. *********************************** A scene of Seth as a Shad. Seth, Venetia, and Staulker are standing before the same woman. They are outside in the town. *********************************** *Devona speaks to them, "You must make haste now.. be on your way. There *is a portal north of town. We will now allow you to pass through *it." *********************************** (-end of scene 7-) Once the cememony has ended, all the people in town tell you they have high hopes for you. Once you enter the portal it takes you into an abandoned castle in the north. Your hitpoints will be drained to 1 everytime you go through the portal. Seth is now a Shad and can use magic. He has several spells, one of which is a heal spell. This spell is very useful when your hitpoints have been reduced to 1. You have general freedom to explore a fairly large continent. You can visit a series of new towns. There is a lot to see and do, but nothing strictly pertaining to the plot. That is, until you enter the kingdom of . This is a kingdom even larger than Talibah. This is the place where Staulker had his previous experience... When you enter the town for the first time, you go into the next scene- (-scene 8-) Staulker has a serious look on his face.. A look of both fear and anger. He is on one knee leaning on his blade stuck in the sand. A tear has almost fallen from his eye. Seth and Venetia are standing behind him. There is a prominent sign stating the name of the town. *********************************** *Staulker has a sudden overwhelming rush of emotion when he *enters this realm. Venetia asks, "Staulker, whats wrong?" *Staulker raises his head and answers, "This place, it *brings back memories. I just have a hard time dealing with *my mind at the moment. I will be ok, please, lets continue, *shall we." Staulker stands... The groups continues. *********************************** (-end of scene 8-) Once in the town, there are people around who talk about seeing a dragon crash into the woods on the island just off shore. They have been scared to go there. There is a cave entrance just south of town that will take them to the island. There is a guard outside of the cave entrance that says the king will not allow anyone entrance. You must first talk to the king. As you enter the gates of the castle you break into scene 9. (-scene 9-) Staulker is facing the group. They are just outside the castle. There are flags blowing in the air and guards standing about. *********************************** *Stualker stops the group, "I can not continue. I can not enter *this castle and you must not tell the King that you even *know who I am." Seth begins, "Why not? What has happened?" *Staulker turns away from the group. Venetia puts her hand *on his shoulders, "Staulker, we have been through a lot, talk *to us." Staulker turns back, "You are right, we have been *through a lot. You are my friends and you deserve to know. I *just find this very difficult. I will try to explain" *********************************** Brown Flashback- The scene is of a woman being beaten in an open alley by a man in full battle gear. A few of the peasants standing around notice, but most pay no attention. Staulker is standing far off in the distance. *********************************** *Staulker starts in a low voice, "Not many years ago I came *to this town as I was seeking experience and knowledge of *the world. There was a woman of my race being beaten in *the streets by a man full battle gear. I may not have *interfeared, but she kept crying out. Just then her *eyes, her fragile eyes looked right into me. I can not *describe what happened to me. I struck the man, brought *him down and almost took his life. *********************************** Brown Flashback- Staulker is trying to help the woman up, the man who was beating the girl is on the ground wiping blood from his mouth. He no has dents in his armor. Staulker hurt him pretty badly. Staulker almost has his back to him, but he's paying attention *********************************** *I spared him and turned my attentions to the woman She *was badly hurt, but she would be ok. She looked at me, *desperation on her face, she whispered to me. She told *me that she had done nothing. She said that man, the man *I just struck down, told her to go with him, that she *would have to bed with him. She said that she had refused *him and that he began to beat her. She looked away and her *eyes started to haze over... she managed to look back up *to me. She spoke to me one last time. She told me her *name was Allura, and she thanked me for saving her life. *********************************** Brown Flashback- Staulker is being arrested by 5 men. The sixth man is on the grown bleeding. These are obviously guards. The girl is being held by the man who was just beating her. They are being drug away. *********************************** *Saving her was my crime. The man I had just struck *down was the son of the King. I was quickly arrested *and brought before the King himself. It was decided *that I was to be put to death and Allura was to be *enslaved. As they drug us out of the castle, Allura *looked at me. She had somehow recovered much of her *strength. Her bruises were almost healed and although *there was dry blood on her face, she was no longer *bleeding. Then I heard her voice... She did not speak, *but still I heard her talking to me. She told me that I *would some how save her... *********************************** Brown Flashback- Staulker is running, 4 men lie dead on the ground, one man is up on one arm, missing the other arm. The sixth man has fallen to one knee while chasing Staulker with an arrow in his leg. Staulker is running to you with his blade clearly visable. There is blood on the edges. *********************************** *We were separated and I managed to escape. The soldiers *of the King were not well trained and many of them lost their *lives that day because of their loyalty. That night *I stayed near the town. I remember clearly looking *to the horizon and seeing the castle towers in the *moonlight... knowing the whole time that Allura *was still there, still waiting for me to save her. *********************************** Same scene of Staulker talking to the group. *********************************** *I have had many dreams and many troubles becuase *of this event in my life. She is here, I can feel *her all around me. I felt her as I entered the *town. I should not have left her behind then, and I *am going to fix my error now." Seth steps forward, *"We will help you!" Staulker looks away, "no, I *must do this myself. I appreciate your offer, but *I can not risk your lives." Knowing that Staulker *would not change his mind, Seth and Venetia say *their good-byes. Staulker speaks one last time *as he walks away, "we will see each other again." *********************************** (-end of scene 9-) Your party is now 2 members again. When you speak to the king, he grants you access to the cave more than willingly. He hopes that you can solve his delemma. Once you enter the cave, you journey underground and arrive on an island. As soon as you make your first step on the small island you encounter the last Dragon with the third stone. Once you have all six stones, you enter scene 10. (-scene 10-) Venetia and Seth are standing close. Seth is holding the rod and Venetia is placing the last stone in it. *********************************** *Venetia places the final stone in the rod, completely *healing the rod of phonovan. *********************************** A flash of light from the rod, the rod is suspended in the air, you can make out a figure in the bright light. Venetia and Seth have fallen back on the ground and are trying to look but have to shield their eyes from the light. *********************************** *A power radiates from the rod, a catalyst has begun. *A figure appears... *********************************** The view is from behind Venetia and Seth. They are looking at Phonovan. He is kinda just floating there. *********************************** *Phonovan appears... The aged wizard speaks *to the two young Shads, "You have done well." *********************************** A much less dramatic scene of the three shads talking. *********************************** *Seth speaks in awe, "Phonovan?" The master of *the Shadonians replies, "Yes, I am Phonovan. You *have awakened my spirit." Venetia speaks, "but *I thought we were suppose to use the rod to seal *the gate, how did we bring you back?" Phonovan *replies, "It is not that simple anymore. I have *fought to keep the gate closed for many years, but *Aphillia has been growing stronger over time. Simply *sealing the gate will not be enough. We must enter her *world and destroy her.... and I am here to help." *Seth begins to question, "You help us? But you are *the greatest of..." Phonovan interupts, "I may be, *but this is your battle now.. I am not even part *of this world and once Aphillia is gone, I will *never be able to be involved in it again. She is my *only link with this realm. I will join your party, *we must hurry to Talibah, pass through the *portal, find Aphillia and destroy her." *********************************** (-end of scene 10-) At this point you must travel all the way back to Talibah. To do this, you must follow your footsteps back. Once you make it back to Karough, you can take a boat back to the continent that Talibah resides on. As soon as you enter the town you find a man on the ground and you run up to help him. (-scene 11-) The image is of Seth holding the bleeing king in his arms. The other members of the party are in the background.. *********************************** *Seth finds himself drawn to help the fallen *man. When Seth comes closer, he realizes that the *man is in fact King Ormad. He is injured badly. *Ormad begins to speak in a rough voice, "You are *young Seth, I can feel it... you are my son." *Once Seth hears this, his eyes light up, "father?, *but how can it be? My father the King of Talibah?" *Ormad, finding some strength inside of him, begins *to speak, "Seth, you should know who your parents *are, and now may be the only time I will ever be *able to tell you the truth. Here, open your heart, *close your eyes, let my mind tell your mind the *story. You will see it as if you were there my son." *Seth obeys, and thus Seth begins to see a vital *part of his fathers past. *********************************** The view is out the castle's window from the King's Chambers. You see the back of the Kings head. A carraige is pulling up to the castle gates. Servants are opening the gate. *********************************** *The Queen, Miriam, approaches. She has been in Talibah *city visiting her lover. Her faithfulness to the King *is broken. The most painful aspect is the fact that *King Ormad knows everything. King Ormad, a man known *for great strength, finds himself weak and hurt. *********************************** The King is sitting on his bed with a blank look, the Chamber Maid is comming in through the door. *********************************** * The King works slowly back to his bed as the chamber maid *enters his room. He does not even acknowledge that she is in the *room. As Safiya goes about her duties, she notices the strong *sadness that has infected the King. *********************************** The King is broken down in tears. Safiya is holding him in her arms. *********************************** *Knowing that she should not, she walks over to him. His face is *blank and without any emotion. Safiya sits on the bed next to him and *puts her hands on his shoulder. His face finally breaks and *tears begin to pour out of his eyes. He has to reach out to anything *close enough to grasp. Safiya holds him close. Through his tears *he looks up to her. No words are spoken. They slowly kiss. *********************************** Ormad and Safiya are making love in his bed. The King is looking down one the Chamber Maid. They are close to one another. *********************************** *The Queen will not be seeing the King tonight. They have been sleeping *in separate rooms. Out of desperation and pain, the King seeks shelter *within Safiya. *********************************** The Queen and the King are face to face with love in their eyes. They Are holding each other's hands. The scene is bright and cheerful. It's spring with cool air and white blossoms floating around. *********************************** *Months later, King Ormad and Queen Miriam have worked out their problems. *They are together and their love is stronger now. But, there are *repercussions from their previous acts. Queen Miriam as well as Safiya *are both about to bear children. *********************************** Back to Seth holding King Ormad in his arms.. *********************************** *Ormad speaks again, "Safiya, your mother, was a Shad. She never knew *this, nor did I until years later. She was given to us years ago by *shads to be raised much like Venetia was given to King Uther. It is *all part of a master plan that none of us truly understood as of yet. *We are all linked... we are all one.." Ormad coughs as blood runs out *of his lips. The King forces himself to speak again, "Seth, take my *sword and my armor, you will find no better weapon." Seth speaks up, *"father, I must tend to you." Ormad looks at Seth, "I am about to be *gone from this world, you must stop Aphillia or there will be no world *left for you and your generation. You can tend to me after you have *dealt with Aphillia." Seth hugs his father tightly.... he can feel *his father slipping away.. His father, the King of Talibah, dies. *********************************** The portal is in sight, Phonovan is just outside of it, Venetia and Seth are heading to it. They appear to be having some problems, but they are able to force their way forward. Phonovan seems to be holding a shield around them, keeping the deamons away and allowing them to enter the portal. *********************************** *The party crosses through the portal. *********************************** (-end of scene 11-) Seth is now equiped with his fathers equipment. The part of three are in a dead world of chaos. It is a maze to find Aphillia. There is stuff here and there.. good weapons, items, and the like. At the end of the maze is Aphillia. Once the party walks up to her, scene 12 starts. (-scene 12-) The scene is of Aphilia standing in a aura of power, Seth is standing as if he is delivering a speach, Venetia is lunging towards Aphillia, Phonovan is between the two, closer to Seth, preparing to cast a spell. *********************************** *Seth begins to speak. No sooner than he opens *his mouth Venetia interupts, "no time for heroic speaches *Seth" Venetia lunges forward into attack. Seth thinks *one last thought of his father, of Staulker, and of the *world he must save. *********************************** (-end of scene 12-) The battle begins!
