33rd Annual Knights of Columbus

Sunday, April 27, 2008 - 12:00 Noon

EVENTS: The 5k and 15k courses are run over paved roads in the rolling hills north of Muenster. It is fast, scenic and challenging. (For PDF map of route, click here.)

AWARDS: There will be 13 age divisions for both male and female. Each will be presented a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophy. Overall awards presented, also. All participants receive a FREE T-shirt.

 

CHAMPION CHIP TIMING: Champion Chip timing will be used at this event. Chips may be picked up on race day, at registration (KC Hall), with your race number. You must wear a chip to be timed and eligible for awards. Chips must be surrendered before leaving the finish area. Age group awards will be determined by gun time.

REGISTRATION: Early registration ends April 20, 2008. You can register online, by mail, or in person.

2) Via Mail - Send completed and signed entry blank with the entry fee (make checks payable to "Germanfest Fun Run") to the address on the form. Packet pickup will be the day of the race at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 403 N. Oak, Muenster, Texas. This is also where the races end.

B) LORA'S FLOWERS & GIFTS - Muenster @ 213 N. Main, 940-759-4080.

C) GERMANFEST - Friday and Saturday before the race at the Chamber of Commerce booth in the Pavilion (registration only - no packets).

D) RACE DAY- Knights of Columbus Hall at 3rd and Oak in Muenster from 9:00 am until start of race, (940) 759-2979. This is also the finish line for both races. 

FREEBIES!: All particpants will receive a FREE T-Shirt (while they last!), a FREE PASS into the Germanfest Grounds (Sunday Only), and TWO FREE DRINK TICKETS for beer or soft drinks - redeemable on the Germanfest Grounds (until 5pm - Sunday Only)

Winners will be announced and awards presented beginning no later than 2:30pm at the reserved area on the Germanfest Grounds. YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO RECEIVE AWARDS - AWARDS WILL NOT BE MAILED. (See last years results and age divisions on the website!)

AFTER THE RACE: Runners are given a pass to the Germanfest grounds, where they can participate in all Germanfest activities, and each runner will receive two FREE tickets for beer or soft drinks.

AWARDS CEREMONY: Winners will be announced and trophies presented beginning no later than 2:30pm at the reserved area on the Germanfest Grounds. Fill out your bieb so it can be torn off at the finish or you may not be rewarded for your efforts.

RAIN OR SHINE: There will be a run and there will be no refunds. The Germanfest Fun Run staff will not be responsible for mailing T-shirts to runners who fail to run.

REST STOPS/SAG WAGONS: Rest stops will be placed approximately 3 miles apart. Water, fruit and other liquids will be available. Medical aid will be provided along the route and at the finish. If at any point, our medical personnel determines that you should not continue, you will be detained and/or returned to the start by a sag wagon. 

MEDICAL FACILITIES: The Muenster Memorial Hospital and local doctors and nurses will be available to assist with any complications. Emergency ambulance service and qualified paramedics will also be available. 

PROCEEDS: Any profits from the races are channelled through the Muenster Knights of Columbus to various charitable organizations in Cooke County.
